Major credit cards (American Express, Dinners, Visa, and MasterCard) are generally accepted in hotels, restaurants and shops of Tahiti. On the other hands, credit cards are refused on markets, smaller shops and generally on smaller islands.
 
Many ATM’s are available 24h/24 in some islands:
Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora, Huahine, Raiatea, Tahaa, Rangiroa, Hiva Oa, Nuku Hiva, Rurutu, Tubuai, Ua pou.

The Bank of Polynesia and Socredo have offices at Faa’a international airport. But again, one should be aware that this is not the case on smaller islands.
