This small atoll, with a surface of 5 square kilometers, is located at over 1,000 km away from Tahiti.
It offers the peculiar distinction of having its internal lagoon almost totally filled, and therefore quasi non-existent.
Traditional activities are copprah and fishing as well as a starting tourism.
