A lot of islands are connected through a ferry network that is used by locals for merchandise transport. Although much slower than the plane, the ferry is a nice alternative and relaxing mean of reaching an island. Some of you will appreciate to discover a new destination by sea like used to do the ancients, taking time to see this small little dot at the horizon becoming a green and welcoming island.

Moorea island is probably the most popular destination to reach by boat from Tahiti. If you go on Saturdays and Sundays, you will meet many locals going to spend their weekend there.
